emotional appeal
This propaganda poster issued by the United States Ministry of Home Security during World War II. This specific WWII propaganda by the Ministry of Home Security effectively uses emotional appeal to invoke the emotion of fear and danger to make them believe in the idea that Hitler is a ruthless leader who would harm the Allies while blinking. "Hitler will send no warning," implies that he is a cruel man who will give no warning, so that every citizen could get hurt. By appealing to the emotion of fear, it strengthens the portrayal of Hitler's ruthless personality and causes citizens to become more patriotic. The emotional appeal technique appeals to one on an emotional level, most often being sadness or fear. Emotional appeal technique is used effectively as the war propaganda invokes the emotion of fear and danger causing one to become more opposed to the enemy, Hitler, and more patriotic to the USA.
